In the new era, scientific innovation research features multidisciplinary intersection and integra?tion in the field of discipline development, and the social coupling system involves complex and profound coupling processes and internal factors. Thus disciplinary intersection and integration is an important direction of scientific in?novation. Amid the interdisciplinary background, this paper focuses on discussing the process and law of the devel?opment of military medical geography from the disciplinary perspective and summarizing the characteristics of three stages of the discipline development; discussing the characteristics of interaction between geography, medicine, and military science in the process of discipline development and research; analyzing the internal structure of the inter?discipline military medical geography according to the three dimensions of research object, research subject, and re?search paradigm, summarizing the application of the interdisciplinary pattern of military medical geography in the practical setting—the technique-service-decision level operating system based on basis and technology, medical support and application, and decision making and command, analyzing the role of the development of military medi?cal geography in medical support and relevant workforce building for medical support, and providing a reference for the development of other disciplines.
